The Client

Client is a leading bank and amongst the largest banks of the world. This bank wanted a solution for one of their branch which acts as the connecting branch to over 650 sub-branches.

The Challenges

The reports generated by the Core Banking Solution (deployed by another major vendor) are sent to this client from across the 650 branches of the country. These reports require changes in the monetary figures. The problem was that the reports were in text format and each text file contained reports of multiple branches. The other major problem was that the report was a text file. There was no way to update the balances automatically after editing.

Client wanted a solution that can

• Migrate the text file reports generated by the Core Banking Solution into a separate database.
• Arrange the various reports in the file branch-wise.
• Present the information in an easy and understandable format.
• Allow editing of monetary figures.
• Automatically update the balances for the n number of records.
• Calculate commissions for Receipts and Payments accordingly.
• Generate report for any period of time branch-wise.

Prazact Technologies performed a thorough analysis of the client's requirements and delivered a solution to meet the above requirements. The application used is Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and SQL Server 2005 database. The new application is highly scalable and requires low maintenance.
